Convention Updates

USDF Proposed Budget and Business Documents Available for Review

In preparation for the 2008 Adequan/USDF Annual Convention a number of business documents have been posted on the USDF Web site for review. These include the proposed fiscal year (FY) 2010 budget, which spans April 1, 2009 - March 31, 2010. Also posted is a document titled USDF Proposed Budget - Fiscal Year 2010 - Overview. This document outlines the budget balancing measures taken including cost cuts, a dues increase proposal, and fee adjustments.

Update Regarding USEF Dressage Performance Standards Proposal

Results of an USEF online survey conducted in May and June 2008
concerning the USEF Dressage Performance Standards Proposal showed that
65% of the over 1250 respondents feel that there should be a proficiency
requirement in order to advance through the levels in dressage
competition. In addition, 56% of respondents indicate that the levels of
proficiency identified in the draft proposal were appropriate.

USDF Region 6 Championship Location Survey

Attention Region 6 Members. The Region 6 Championship Show Committee is in the process of taking recommendations on the placement of the Region 6 Championship show. The show is currently held in late September, or early Oct. Unfortunately, with the late date, and some early fall rains, it has been rained out and the quality of the footing severely compromised on several occasions.
